lIFELONG LEARNING REGISTRATION
-
Tips for new families using our enrollment portal:
- We recommend doing this on a computer, not a phone or tablet.
- We recommend preparing to complete registration in one sitting.
- Please note that all text boxes with a red asterisk* are required. If they do not apply to your child, enter “None.”
- Please note that you will register by program, not by the child. If you are signing up multiple children in the same age group (K-5th Grade, 6th-7th Grade, or 8th-12th Grade), be prepared to complete their registration simultaneously. If you’re registering multiple children in different age groups, you’ll need to repeat the process.
- Payment is required at the end of the process to confirm your child’s spot – either a lump sum full payment or a $200 deposit (if requesting financial aid or a payment plan)
- During online registration, your enrollment information will be stored in the ShulCloud database. Once you input family information for one child, it will auto-populate for any other children you register. Each child’s info will also be stored and auto-populated if you register them for multiple programs. Information will also be stored year-to-year, so once future years’ registrations will be much easier!
- If you have previously logged in to ShulCloud, click here if you know your password and follow the prompts to register.
- If you do have not already logged in, click here to create a password and follow the prompts to register.

- We are planning on the 2023-2024 school year beginning the week of October 2.
- A new approach to teaching for all grades. We plan to be one of the only congregational schools in the country where all faculty will be trained in the “Responsive Classroom” methodology. A responsive classroom is a student-centered, social, and emotional learning approach to teaching and discipline. Our lessons will be newly designed to create safe, joyful, and engaging classrooms and school communities for both students and teachers.
- A Pre-K Ta’am program. This will offer our Pre-K students (members and non-members of Temple Israel) a “taste of our religious school program.” Offered at an earlier time of day, our youngest learners will get a preview of the fun and magic that happens here at TI!
- TI Members should follow the steps above to register.
- Non-Members can register here.

- A new curriculum addition to the 6th-7th Grade Junior Academy. In addition to our Holocaust curriculum, Facing History and Ourselves, we will be piloting a new curriculum in partnership with Moving Traditions. We hope to help our middle school students frame their B’nai Mitzvah experience with lessons designed to be fun, experiential, and transformative as they combine positive psychology with Jewish wisdom to help them understand the changes they will encounter in the next few years. Our goal will be to build teens’ sense of confidence and strengthen their connection to the Jewish community.

- A new approach to our teen engagement! This year we will be making it easier for teens to step into programs when their hearts and schedules allow! Yes, we will continue to provide an Academy “All-Access” option which allows students to engage with nearly all teen programs for one, inclusive price. (To register, please follow the steps below.) Our Academy “Pay-as-You-Go” program is open to all NYC teens and is perfect for those who prefer to pick and choose when and how they want to engage.
- Academy trips are back for 8th-12th graders! Our Civil Rights Journey and political action seminar in Washington, DC are back, along with the new destination of Berlin. Various subsidized trip rates are available for enrolled and non-enrolled member families. Trips are now open to all NYC Jewish teens (space permitting).
- A new curriculum design for 8th-12th grade Academy monthly sessions: In partnership with Moving Traditions, we plan to offer “Kulam,” a High School curriculum that promotes shleimut (individual wellbeing), hesed (connection), and tzedek (just action) for Jewish high school students. We feel this new shift will equip Jewish teens to engage in dynamic and authentic relationships to think reflectively, act courageously, and develop healthy and caring communities.
