Born in Jerusalem, Natalie Portman made her first appearance on the screen at the age of 12, her Broadway debut while she was still in high school and found time to graduate from Harvard in between filming the Star Wars prequel trilogy and acting in Chekhov’s The Seagull opposite Meryl Streep.
