Rosh Hashanah Morning & Dedication of our Main Sanctuary October 3, 2024
On Rosh Hashanah morning, Thursday, October 3, 2024 we will celebrate the Dedication of our Main Sanctuary.
So that every member can experience this historic moment, our TI Clergy will lead two identical Rosh Hashanah Morning Services in the Main Sanctuary:
- Rosh Hashanah 1st Service (9-10:45am)
- Rosh Hashanah 2nd Service (11:15am-1pm)
Members will be able to choose their preferred service time. (There will not be a Rosh Hashanah Morning Service in the Ballroom this year).
Note: This change is ONLY for Rosh Hashanah Morning, 2024. Yom Kippur Service schedule can be found here.
Tickets for all High Holy Day Services will be emailed to Members in good standing beginning on September 10.
FAQS – Rosh Hashanah 5785/2024
TICKETS
Members in good standing will begin to receive their High Holy Day tickets via email beginning Tuesday, September 10. Please click here to renew your membership if you haven’t done so already. Tickets are required for services on Erev Rosh Hashanah, Rosh Hashanah Day, Kol Nidre, and Yom Kippur Day. Tickets do not need to be printed and can be saved in your Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.
- Members with Reserved Seats in the Main Sanctuary can select their preferred Service time and they will be guaranteed their seats. Click here to select your preferred Rosh Hashanah Morning Service time.
- Members with Unreserved Seats in the Main Sanctuary will be guaranteed seating in the Upper Balcony for either Rosh Hashanah Service. Click here to request your 2024/5785 High Holy Day tickets. Members will have the opportunity to upgrade their seats to Main Floor Seating for either Rosh Hashanah Service. Please reach out to our Membership Team for more information.

NYConnect (20s/30s group)
NYConnect is Temple Israel’s group for young professionals in their 20s and 30s. It holds monthly programs and services during the year. Come join NYConnect for the High Holy Days to meet other dynamic Jews in New York City (tickets are required). Will-Call
Tickets will be sent digitally to our members in good standing prior to Rosh Hashanah. We will have a Will-Call table open 45 minutes prior to services, located at the entrance of the temple. Visit the Will-Call table if you have any questions the day of services.
YOUTH & FAMILIES
High Holy Days Rockin’ Family Eve Services
For families with children Grades K-5.
Led by Rabbi Melissa Buyer-Witman and our Musical Artist-in-Residence, Sheldon Low, are geared towards families with children in Grades K-5. Family oneg to follow.
Tickets are not required but we ask that you register in advance for security.

H2D Project: Interactive – Dynamic – Inspiring
For children Grades K-5 (Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur Mornings)
Age-appropriate and celebratory programming for children while parents attend adult services. Children in Grades K-5 join in discussions, create artwork, games and programs that help them delve into the themes of the season. In addition, they participate in a half-hour children’s age-appropriate service within their individual grades led by Rabbi Melissa Buyer-Witman & Rabbi Peter Young.

Tot Services
For families with young children.
Join our Rabbis, Cantors & song leaders for our exciting, interactive Tot Services. We invite all our families with young children to join in these joyful and creative experiences on both Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.

Yom Tov Tots
For children ages 2 – 5 (through pre-K)
We offer age-appropriate holiday programming for preschool aged children while their parents are in services*. Join us for crafts, music, story time, snack, and holiday-themed play! Please note that registration is required, we will not be able to take walk-ins. Held in ECLC facility on the 2nd floor.

Security
All visitors are subject to security screening upon entry. Visitors will only be permitted to bring a small personal bag or purse and will not be admitted with large bags or backpacks. All bags will be inspected.
Accessibility
Large print prayerbooks and assistive listening support will be available upon request.
For any additional assistance, please visit our Will-Call table located at the entrance of the temple.
Book of Remembrance
We invite you to honor the memory of your loved ones by listing their names in our annual Book of Remembrance. Entries must be received no later than Friday, September 20. Submit here.
