Day Trippers
Day Trippers is exclusive to kids entering Kindergarten in September 2026. Campers will meet 5 days a week: 9am to 3pm (Monday – Thursday) and 9am to 1pm (Friday).
This group will participate in outings 4 out of the 5 days a week. Traveling to places on the UES, as well as other Manhattan neighborhoods, boroughs and even the tri-state areas. Over the years, Day Trippers have taken amazing adventures to the Statue of Liberty, Bronx Zoo, Liberty Science Center and the Children’s Museum of Manhattan. Day Trippers campers may travel by public transport as well as chartered buses depending on the destinations.
Fridays will be spent at Temple Israel with fun, interactive experiences, and a Shabbat celebration.
For campers entering Kindergarten in September 2026

Mini Trippers
Mini Trippers is exclusive to campers entering PreK in September 2026. Campers will meet 5 days a week: 9am to 230pm (Monday – Thursday) and 9am to 1pm (Friday) and experience outings around the UES and the UWS on 3 of the 5 days each week.
The campers and counselors will travel, mostly by foot and sometimes by MTA buses, to many of the amazing neighborhood destinations that the UES and UWS has to offer. Past itineraries have included Color Pop Workshop, playground visits, The Art Farm, The Craft Studio and the Central Park Zoo.
On the days campers are based at Temple Israel, they will experience art, music, sports, and movement explorations, and of course an interactive Shabbat celebration every Friday to close out the week.

Located in the Early Childhood Learning Center at Temple Israel, Camp Chaverim offers a nurturing, creative, and unique early camp experience for children 15 months to 5 years old in both separated and non-separated options. Groups spend time forming friendships, exploring new concepts and environments, bonding with their teachers and having fun!
