Important Dates & Deadlines
July 29: Members with Unreserved High Holy Day Seating received an email with a link to request their High Holy Day tickets. Temple Israel members may access that link here: Unreserved HHD Ticket Request
August 24: Digital High Holy Day tickets will begin to be emailed to all members in good standing. If you have not yet renewed your membership, please click here to renew so your tickets can be issued promptly.
September 9: Deadline to submit your entry for inclusion in the 2026/5787 Book of Remembrance. Click here to add your entry Book of Remembrance 5787/2026
September 4 & September 14: Deadlines to register your child(ren) for H2D or Yom Tov Tots. Click here to register and learn more about these High Holy Day programs for children ages Pre-K through 5th Grade.
High Holy Day Tickets & Seating
Tickets are required for the following High Holy Day Services:
- Erev Rosh Hashanah
- Rosh Hashanah Together (Family Service)
- Rosh Hashanah Day
- Kol Nidre
- Yom Kippur Together (Family Service)
- Yom Kippur Morning
- Yom Kippur Yizkor & Neilah
Members with Unreserved Seating
Please complete the High Holy Day Ticket Request Form to confirm the number of tickets your household will need. Seating in the Upper Balcony is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Once the Upper Balcony of the Main Sanctuary reaches capacity, additional members will be accommodated in the Ballroom, where the service will be livestreamed. Rabbi Reimer, Cantor Altshul & Rabbi Young will greet members in both locations.
Note that your household is entitled to High Holy Day tickets for members of your family listed on your membership, including children ages 10–26.
Members with Reserved Seating
Members with reserved seating on the Main Floor or Lower Balcony will automatically receive digital tickets identifying their assigned seats.
Guest Tickets
Members may purchase High Holy Day tickets for family and friends by completing this Request Form.
Non-Member Tickets
A limited number of Non-Member tickets are available. Click here to submit a request. Seat location for non-members cannot be guaranteed. All Non-Member ticket requests must be received by September 1.
Seating Reciprocity
Members of other congregations who wish to request reciprocal High Holy Day seating at Temple Israel must submit this Reciprocal Seating Request Form. Temple Israel members in good standing are also eligible to request reciprocal High Holy Day seating at participating URJ congregations by contacting Talia Magenheim at membership@templeisraelnyc.org or 646-292-9467.
High Holy Days for Families with Children
We are delighted to offer engaging, meaningful, and joyful High Holy Day experiences for children and families of every age.
High Holy Days Together
Children, PreK – 6th Grade are invited to experience the High Holy Days through joyful, age-appropriate worship designed especially for them. These interactive services feature music, storytelling, prayer, and engaging conversations that help children connect with the meaning and traditions of the holidays. (tickets are required)

Tot Services (Ages 0-6)
Our Tot High Holy Day Services are specially designed for children ages 2–5 (through Pre-K) and the grown-ups who love them. Filled with joyful music, singing, stories, movement, and simple holiday traditions, these warm and interactive services introduce our youngest children to the spirit of the High Holy Days in a way that is engaging, meaningful, and fun. Families will celebrate together while creating lasting holiday memories.
- Rosh Hashanah Day — September 12 | 9:30 am
- Yom Kippur Day — September 21 | 9:30 am
- Sukkot — Saturday, September 26 | 9:30 am
H2D Project (Grades K-5)
For children in Grades K–5 during the Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur morning services. Children enjoy age-appropriate, engaging holiday programming while parents attend adult services. Registration is required.
Yom Tov Tots (Ages 2-5/through Pre-K)
Our youngest participants will celebrate the holidays through stories, music, movement, crafts, games, and hands-on activities designed especially for preschool-aged children. Please note that this program is only for children ages 2 and up and is separated. Registration is required.

Security
The safety of our community remains our highest priority.
All visitors are subject to security screening upon entry. Only small personal bags or purses will be permitted into the building. Large bags and backpacks are not permitted, and all permitted bags will be inspected upon entry.
