“To save one life is to save the entire world.”
(Talmud Sanhedrin 37a)
With over 20,000 fatalities and over a million left homeless in subzero cold amidst debris, without shelter, electricity or even water, we must act. Our hearts are with the people of Turkey and Syria. We are commanded to help the needy and to alleviate the pain of suffering wherever we can. Torah teaches us that we “must not stand idly by” (Lev. 19:16) while others bleed or are in pain, and to feed the hungry. We are looking to see how else we might mobilize support and relief.
Join us in helping the few organizations that are on the ground providing direct and immediate aid and relief:
(For the People of Turkey & Syria)

God of justice and mercy,
We pray for the people of Turkey,
And the victims of any disaster,
Any violence, suffering or despair.
Grant them shelter and solace,
Comfort and consolation,
Blessing and renewal…
